Homemade Apple Pie

Homemade Apple Pie: This is a simple and easy way to make Grannies Homemade Apple Pie. This was my grandmother’s recipe that all of us kids love eating every holiday.

If you want to keep it simple, you can buy the already made pie crust, but for me, I like to make my own pie crust.

For a little more flavor, instead of using regular, you can use brown sugar to bring out the flavor

Items You will need to make this pie

*Apples 
*Apple Juice
*Flower
*Sugar 
*Corn Starch
*Water 
*Cinnamon
*Crisco
*Cooking Pot
*Strainer 
*Mixing bowl

Instructions:

Peel your apples, cut out the middle and cut them into wedges. Add 3 cups of apple juice and 1 1/2 cups of water into the cooking pot, put heat it medium heat.

Now:

Once the pot of juice is boiling, add in your apple wedges, take out 2 cups of juice and add it to your mixing bowl, leaving the apples in the pot.

With your 2 cups of juice in your mixing bowl, add 1 cup of cornstarch to the juice. Mix the juice and cornstarch until the liquid is lump-free.

Add in 1 cup of sugar into the mixing bowl, mix until all are free from lumps. Add the mixture to the apples in the pot, set the heat to medium heat.

Stir apple carefully, you don’t want to make applesauce. Once the mixture becomes thick, turn off the burner and remove the apples from the heat.

Set your oven to preheat at 350F

After ingredients

Now add your mixture to your own pie crust or a store-bought crust. Once added to the pie crust, put the pie in the oven that is set at 350F for 40 minutes.

After 40 Minutes, take out and let cool for 15 minutes.
