I am a person who has used all kinds of foundations, my latest one before this one was an airbrush foundation that requires using an airgun to apply the foundation.

I have no issues with using airbrush foundation, in fact, it made my skin look and feel as if I was not wearing anything at all. I love when a foundation is super light and doesn’t feel cakey. IL Makiage foundation is a great foundation that you see all over Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok, you would think that how many times you see the ad that it’s not that good of a foundation. This is not true, I took the challenge of doing the quiz to pick my color and try to see if it’s a match as all the ads say it matches their skin color.

You’ve probably heard of them, or at least seen a slice of their major Instagram presence. Launched just two years ago, the brand wants to finally make shopping for foundations online a practical reality, using a comprehensive PowerMatch algorithm to lead you to your perfect bottle of its signature Woke Up Like This foundation, which comes in 50 shades.

My Testing Results

So I went and took the plunge to find out if this foundation really does what it claims to do, I received my package about 5 days later after placing my order. The only thing I had to pay was the shipping costs which were about six dollars because I get to try it for risk-free for 14 days. If after the 14 days I like, they will charge me the price for the foundation, if not they will issue me a full refund.

Five days after I ordered it, I received my new foundation. I just purchased a new makeup brush because they say not to use your fingers when applying the foundation. I applied the foundation to my face and to my astonishment, it was a true match to my skin color, and it felt like warm butter putting on my face.

How To Choose The Right Color

There are many colors to choose from to fit your skin color, you just take a quiz on your skin tone. There are just a few quick questions you need to answer to get your correct color. I have included some screenshots of some of the questions they ask you to determine what is the best color for you, some of the questions they ask you is if you are looking for full coverage or light coverage.

The next set of questions they ask you the condition of your skin, if you have blemishes, acne, wrinkles, fine line and darkening skin and aging skin. There are about 10 pages of questions, so below are the finishing up the questions before they match your color. Once you have finished all the questions, they will ask you for your email to send the color that best matches your skin and they also show you your color.

If you are not happy with your current foundation, you should try this foundation, you will not be dissatisfied with the results of this foundation. I am happy that I did give this foundation a try, now my makeup routine is cut in half now.
