If you have any issues with your washer making noise from the front and the washer is not draining water, sounds like you need to replace the Drain Pump. When my washer was making noises from the front of the machine, I had to purchase the Pump to drain the water from my machine. If your machine is smelling a little funky and is a bit dirty from all the washing over time, you will want to purchase a cleaner that will get this washer to brand new smelling status, the one you will want to purchase is called Affresh.
