Samsung Galaxy Foldable Phone Review
Samsung Galaxy Foldable Phone Review: Samsung Is coming out with its first foldable smartphone on April 26th 2019 called “Samsung Galaxy Fold”. This phone has it all including a huge price tag. The phone starts out around two thousand dollars.
Let me get into the full details about this new upcoming Phablet and all its features. Samsung is using a new 7.3-inch Infinity Flex Display that allows the phone to be a tablet-sized screen that can fold and can to fit into your pocket.
The front display is QXGA resolution, and when it’s folded, a smaller 4.6-inch HD display is used for the phone mode.
Samsung is using 512GB of Universal Flash Storage 3.0 for fast speeds, alongside a Qualcomm octa-core processor and 12GB of RAM.
More Spec Information:
Samsung has even built two batteries for its Galaxy Fold, separated by the fold, there is a total of 4,380 mAh of battery. Samsung states it’s able to fold at least 200,000 times, which works out to over 5 years if you fold it 100 times a day.
At the rear of the device, there’s also a triple-camera system that will be used for both tablet and phone modes. There’s a 16-megapixel ultra-wide camera, alongside 12-megapixel wide-angle and telephoto cameras at the rear, and a 10-megapixel cover camera for selfies.
The Galaxy Fold runs Android 9 Pie, the latest software from Google, but Samsung has developed. A unique interface over the top to work especially with the two screens.
The large folding screen supports three app multitasking, allowing you to have three apps open on the display at the same time. Samsung had demonstrated using many different apps in tablet mode, and the switching from phone to tablet and tablet back to the phone mode.
The Galaxy Fold looks and feels smooth in both modes, but to be fair I would say the Galaxy Fold looks much better when it’s folded out.
Samsung Galaxy Fold release date and price
Samsung Galaxy Fold price is a staggering $1,980, making it more expensive than every other smartphone on the market. The Samsung Galaxy Fold release date is April 26 in the US and May 3 in Europe.
My opinion of This Phone:
This is a nice phone with many features to offer, including a bigger screen to work with, plus a bigger battery. I will have to pass on this model.
The price exceeds all the features this phablet has to offer, with almost $2,000 out of pocket. Personally, I cannot myself spend that much money on a tablet phone, I could just get a mini tablet for more than half the price.
I have been a fan of Samsung since the Note II series and every year I upgraded to the newest Note series.
Although this foldable phone looks like a beast and has lots of features to offer, I will just write about this great phone and see if the price drops down half the price before I will purchase this phone. Come check the video out for more in-depth information from Samsung themselves.
